Background

Sacred Slam, creator of the Youth at War and Peace project and an American-based not-for-profit organization, has developed an innovative curriculum for interfaith youth to explore and create art based on personal experiences with war & peace, liberation & suffering. For the past two years Sacred Slam has facilitated workshops with interfaith youth from America, Israel, Northern Ireland, Palestine and South Africa.

The art emerging from this project is a potent reminder of the resilience, creativity and insight that these young leaders carry. This project is cultivating grassroots intercultural exchanges that promote respect for diversity, self-representation and the peaceful resolution of conflict.

Sacred Slam will continue to facilitate the Youth at War & Peace curriculum in person, but recognizing the need to both showcase the Art submitted and open up the process to anyone with an internet connection and a desire to contribute, we launched this website.

Over the coming months we will be exhibiting submissions and creating muses for you to develop your own submissions.

What is war?

What is peace?

What is it to be a ‘Youth’ in our world?

Let the world hear your voice.
